About Us

Joy Cheng

Joy is a junior at Lowell High School. Born in Berkeley and raised in San Francisco, she is a native to the Bay Area. She is a writer with a passion for discussion, and is a reporter for her school’s journalism program The Lowell, as well as a member of KQED’s Youth Advisory Board. In her free time, she enjoys learning languages, eating spicy food, and playing with her golden retriever. ​​

Helen Chow

Helen is a junior (c/o 2022) at Lowell. She dedicates most of her time to teaching and playing a card game called bridge. She is one of the Center for Bridge Education's Board Members and the president of Lowell's bridge club. Besides being a competitive bridge player, she actively participates in Youth and Government and volunteers at CPMC. Helen also enjoys sailing, swimming, and snow sports. All in all, she enjoys experiencing new things and helping others.

Kaylie Dionisio

Kaylie is a senior (c/o 2021). She enjoys spending time with family & friends, singing, and dancing. She also loves boba! She is a part of Lowell’s Varsity Flag Football team and is one of the captains for the 2021 season. As for other extracurriculars, she is a part of Fil-am club, UCSF Jr. Ambassadors, Pre-med, and is co-PR of Polynesian Club. 

Jacqueline Mei

Jacqueline is a senior (c/o 2021). She has a passion for the creative and the technical—she loves dancing and writing for the school paper, but she also loves topics like data science. As for other extracurriculars, she is president of Book Club, treasurer of Hip Hop Club, and media personnel for Masks for All CA. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and playing hide and seek with her baby sister.
